At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), our mission is rooted in compassion — to uplift those facing physical, emotional, and financial hardships with dignity and care. On October 13, 2024, we had the privilege of changing a life by supporting Mrs. Manjula, a resilient mother of three from Vavunathivu Palakkadu, who lost her leg during Sri Lanka’s civil war.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), we believe that access to clean drinking water is a basic human right — especially for children striving to learn and grow.

Recently, in response to a heartfelt request from the principal of Navalapitty Kaddapulla Tamil Mahavithiyalayam in Sri Lanka’s Central Province, GHF stepped in to meet a pressing need: providing water tanks to the school.

One of our most recent efforts brought light and hope to the life of a 14-year-old boy from Seddipalayam, Batticaloa, who was facing a devastating health crisis after a serious accident.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their talents, regardless of their financial background. On 19th January 2024, GHF awarded a ₹40,000 grant to a Music College in Batticaloa, aimed at supporting music teachers who offer free lessons to students from low-income families. This grant is a step forward in our ongoing efforts to make education and the arts accessible to all.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), our mission is to stand with families in their most vulnerable moments. In a recent initiative, we responded to a heartfelt request from Kalmunai North Divisional Secretary, Mr. Sujeevan, to support a father of three daughters in Kurunthayadi, Kalmunai, who is battling kidney disease and facing severe financial hardship.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), our mission is to empower students through education, and we’re excited to announce a new initiative designed to support G.C.E. Ordinary Level students at Pandiruppu Mahavidiyalayam. Starting on 9th October 2023, we will be offering evening classes focused on English and Science to help students prepare for their upcoming exams.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), we believe in providing practical support to help students overcome challenges and continue their education with ease. On 2nd October 2023, we were proud to support A. Sathanth, a Grade 2 student from Seerpadadevi Vithiyalayam, Malvathai, Ampara, by providing him with a bicycle worth ₹14,500.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to excel academically, especially when it comes to critical exams that can shape their future. In a bid to support young learners, GHF organized a special seminar on September 17, 2023, for Grade 5 students at Periyaneelavanai Vishnu Maha Vidyalayam. This initiative aimed to equip students with essential tools and strategies to help them succeed in the highly competitive Scholarship Competition Examination.

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), we believe in empowering struggling families by providing them with opportunities for financial independence. Our recent initiative has transformed the life of Mrs. Sarathadavi, a widow from Pandiruppu 1, New Somanather Road. With an investment of ₹47,000, she has now opened her own grocery shop—paving the way for a sustainable and self-sufficient future.

As part of our continuous mission to support underprivileged students, we are proud to announce the launch of the 3rd Phase of our Educational Scholarship Monthly Scheme on 20th August 2023. This scheme offers crucial financial assistance to students from low-income families, helping them pursue their higher education for a full year without financial worries.

Our Business Support Initiative is designed to empower individuals, providing them with financial assistance to launch or expand their businesses. Unlike traditional grants, this program follows a self-repaying model—beneficiaries return half of the support amount once their business stabilizes. This ensures that GHF can continue helping more individuals in need, fostering long-term financial independence.

True to our mission of uplifting underprivileged communities, we are proud to share our ongoing initiative at Ranamadu Hindu College, a school serving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

One such inspiring story is that of Mrs. Thadsaini, a mother of two daughters who was abandoned by her husband and left to fend for herself. With both daughters still studying, she struggled to make ends meet.

Our mission is to uplift those in need by providing them with the tools and resources to regain financial stability. One of our recent success stories is that of K. Puspaletsumi, a widow and mother of two from Pandiruppu, who overcame hardship to rebuild her rice milling business.

Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF) continues its mission to enhance education in underserved communities. In response to a request from Kamu/Sathu/Valathappity A.D.K. School, located in Valathappity village, Sammanthurai zone, Amparai, GHF provided vital educational assistance. This initiative aimed to supply essential study materials to help students overcome learning setbacks and improve academic performance.

The Thavarasa family, displaced by a devastating tsunami, faced unimaginable challenges in rebuilding their lives. With three children to educate and a lack of financial stability, they were in desperate need of support. Thanks to the intervention of the Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), this family was given the opportunity to regain control of their future through self-employment.
