Supports War-Affected Mother

At Generous Hearts Foundation (GHF), our mission is rooted in compassion — to uplift those facing physical, emotional, and financial hardships with dignity and care. On October 13, 2024, we had the privilege of changing a life by supporting Mrs. Manjula, a resilient mother of three from Vavunathivu Palakkadu, who lost her leg during Sri Lanka’s civil war.

A Life Transformed Through Mobility

For many years, Mrs. Manjula lived with the support of a wooden prosthetic leg, which allowed her to manage day-to-day life. But when it broke, her mobility was drastically reduced, making even basic tasks a daily challenge.

Understanding the urgency of her situation, GHF stepped in to provide a custom fiberglass leg worth ₹120,000 — a gift that restored not just her ability to walk, but her independence and confidence.

The Impact of Our Support

This contribution has made a tangible difference in Mrs. Manjula’s life:

  • Restored mobility, enabling her to care for her children and manage daily responsibilities
  • Renewed confidence, helping her reclaim her independence
  • Improved quality of life for her and her family

It’s a powerful reminder of how targeted support can unlock dignity and opportunity for those who need it most.

Our Ongoing Commitment

At GHF, we believe every individual deserves a chance to live with strength and self-sufficiency, regardless of past hardships. Through medical and mobility assistance, we aim to help people like Mrs. Manjula move forward — not just physically, but emotionally and socially.
